BBI Gala Dinner - "the must attend event in the industry"
This year’s Gala Awards Dinner held at The Vintners' Hall in London was another sell out event. During the Champagne reception, that was kindly sponsored by Drinktec 2017, the awards from this year’s BBI Drinks Competition were presented by David Griffiths, BBI National Chairman and Ed Binsted, BBI President. BBI Gala Dinner - another sell out event
This year’s Gala Awards Dinner held at The Vintners' Hall in London was another sell out event. After the Champagne Reception, Wyllie Woodburn, National Chairman and Ed Binsted, President, presented the awards to this year's winners of the BBI Drinks Competition that was held in July. BBI Gala Dinner, a wonderful success
The penultimate event in the BBI calendar of 2014 was the annual Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony, held again at The Vintners' Hall in London. The Vintners' this year was filled to capacity and the event was considered to be a huge success. You can read more here.
BBI Drinks Competition 2014 - The Results
This year's BBI competition attracted a record number of entries with many new brewers, cider makers, soft drinks and water companies joining for the first time. You can read more here and view the winners.

Visit to Marston's (May 2014)
The first of the BBI visits for 2014 was to Marston's Brewery in Burton on Trent. Hector Macdonald, Packaging Manager and Genevieve Upton, Bottling Manager hosted the visit. You can read the full report here.

The 2014 competition takes place on 22-23 July and and you can now start submitting your entries!

BBI Conference 2013
The second BBI Conference, the curtain raiser to Drinktec, was held on 5th September and was a great showcase for what to expect at Drinktec. You can read the full report here.

The annual BBI Gala Dinner held on the 1st November at The Vintners Hall was another great success. You can read the full report here.
BBI West Country Visit
The final visits of the BBI calendar for 2012 were to the West Country, firstly to see the recently acquired site at Tiverton for Aston Manor and then following an overnight stopover a visit to St Austell Brewery. You can read the full report here.
BBI Scottish Visit
Our two hosts this year were Tennent Caledonian Breweries and Edrington, who both gave a fascinating insight to the Scottish Brewing and Scotch Whisky industry, both made the BBI delegates most welcome and provided some great hospitality. You can read the full report here.
The BBI Sustainability Conference is a great success
The BBI held its first conference for over a decade at Whittlebury Hall Hotel in Northamptonshire in September. The theme of the conference was creating a Sustainable Beverage Industry. You can read about the conference and view photos from the event here.
Visit to Accolade Wines
The first of the Summer meetings for the BBI was hosted by Mr Robin Thompson, Manufacturing Manager at Accolade Wines Ltd at Avonmouth. You can read the full report here.

The second meeting in the BBI calendar this year was a wonderful visit to the APPE facility at Gresford near Wrexham. You can read the full report here.

The first visit of the season for the BBI was to The Paper Pallet Company, based in Wellingborough, Northants. You can read the full report here.
2012 Drinks Competition
The categories for the 2012 BBI Drinks Competition have now been finalised and you can now start submitting your entries!
Just as last year we will be running both the Ales, Lagers & Ciders competition with the Waters & Soft Drinks. This year we are including new categories for Ginger Beer and Alcoholic Ginger Beers, two types of drink that are currently proving extremely popular and experiencing huge demand.

New National Chairman
After five years we say goodbye to Colin Barker as National Chairman of the BBI. Colin has contributed significantly over the years to the bottling industry and we wish to thank him for his leadership and look forward to him continuing to be an active member.
We welcome Wyllie Woodburn as our new National Chairman and hope you all wish him the very best in his new position.
